Man Dies Of Injuries After Being Stabbed At Dupont Circle On Monday

WASHINGTON, DC.- The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the fatal stabbing of a 36-year-old man who was found Monday afternoon by U.S. Park Police at Dupont Circle.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, December 30, 2024, shortly before 4:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District responded to Dupont Circle following being notified by U.S. Park Police that they discovered a man, suffering from a severe stab wound.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found the man, later identified as Dominique Ratiff, 36, of Southeast, D.C., unresponsive, suffering from a life-threatening stab wound. Mr. Ratiff was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Ratiff succumbed to his injury and was subsequently pronounced deceased.

     The investigation remains ongoing and is being investigated by the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department in conjunction with the United States Park Police.
