V.A. Hospital Nurse Indicted On Federal Child Pornography Offenses

KANSAS CITY, MO.- On Monday, December 23, 2024, U.S. Attorney Teresa A. Moore reported that a Federal Grand Jury returned an indictment against Paul Robert Wyatt, 56, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, on federal child pornography offenses.
The three-count indictment was unsealed on December 17, 2024, charging Wyatt, who is employed as a nurse at a Veterans Administration hospital in Kansas City, with one count of Distribution of Child Pornography; one count of Possession of Child Pornography; and one count of Possessing Child Pornography Involving a Child under the age of Twelve. Wyatt was arrested and made his initial appearance in Federal Court on December 17, 2024.
The charging information unsealed in the indictment alleges that on September 9, 2023, Wyatt utilized the internet to distribute digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children. The indictment further alleges that on October 12, 2023, Wyatt utilized the internet to view, download, and possess digital images and video files depicting child sexual abuse material.
   The indictment finally charges Wyatt with using the internet to view, download, and possess digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of a child under the age of twelve.
