Teen Tragically Killed In New Year’s Day Motor Vehicle Crash

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ.- On Thursday, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that Detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding Wednesday’s single-vehicle crash that tragically claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy.

     According to the initial police reports, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, shortly before 7:30 a.m., members of the South Brunswick Police Department responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 130 South in the Township.

Police Find Car Crashed Into Utility Pole

     Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a 1998 Buick that had struck a utility pole. Inside the vehicle, Police Officers found four occupants, an adult driver and three juvenile passengers. The front seat passenger, a 15-year-old boy from West Windsor, New Jersey, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital, where, despite life-saving measures, the teen succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

     The driver and the other two juvenile passengers sustained minor injuries and were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment. Their condition was unavailable.

     The investigation remains ongoing.
