ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- On Thursday, January 2, 2025, Darrick Mallory, 53, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Wild to one count of first-degree Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute.

In return for the guilty plea, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Mallory be sentenced to ten years in New Jersey State Prison. After admitting guilt on Thursday, Judge Wild accepted Mallory’s plea and scheduled his sentencing in April 2025. Mallory will remain on pretrial release conditions pending sentencing.

According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, during the course of a narcotics investigation on June 2, 2022, Atlantic County law enforcement investigators executed a court-authorized search warrant at Mallory’s Harris Place residence in Atlantic City. Upon the execution of the warrant, Mallory was taken into custody.

Police Uncover Illicit Narcotics

During a subsequent search of Mallory’s home and motor vehicle, investigators found and seized around 1.3 pounds of powder cocaine, THC edibles, over three pounds of illegal marijuana, and just around 22 grams of psilocybin mushrooms. Additionally, investigators seized $6,558 in U.S. currency in denominations consistent with narcotics sales. Investigators seized numerous drug paraphernalia items, including digital scales and illicit drug packaging items.

A search of Mallory’s cellular phone uncovered photographs of crack cocaine being cooked on the stove inside Mallory’s Harris Place residence.
