Wichita Couple Charged With December Bank Robbery Spree

WICHITA, KS.- On Friday, January 3, 2025, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, both from Wichita, Kansas, who apparently thought they were “Bonnie and Clyde,” were taken into custody and jailed after being federally charged in connection with a December 2024 armed bank robbery spree.
According to U.S. Attorney Kate E. Brubacher, Zane Tilcock, 20, of Wichita, and Emily Wise, 18, also from Wichita, were charged by federal criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas. Tilcock was charged with three counts of Hobbs Act Bank Robbery, and Wise was charged with one count of Hobbs Act Bank Robbery.
According to charging information filed in the criminal complaint, it has been alleged that Tilcock, brandishing a firearm, robbed three banks in December 2024. He is accused of robbing Intrust Bank on South Webb Road in Wichita on December 11, 2024. Emprise Bank on East Harry Street in Wichita on December 16, 2024, and finally, Sunflower Bank on North Jefferson Street in Junction City on December 27, 2024.
Wise has been accused of acting as an accomplice with Tilcock and robbing the Emprise Bank in Wichita on December 16, 2024.
Tilcock and Wise remain in federal custody of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and are lodged in the Sedgwick County Detention Facility in Wichita, Kansas. If convicted at trial, both Tilcock and Wise face up to 20 years in federal prison.
