Metropolitan Police Search For Suspects In Friday Northeast D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two suspects and a vehicle that was responsible for a late Friday afternoon shooting and armed robbery in Northeast, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, January 3, 2025, just shortly before 6:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District responded to reports of gunfire on the 5700 Block of 2nd Street in Northeast, D.C.

Police Learn Victims Were Robbed And Shot At

     Upon arrival, Police Officers learned that the two suspects brandished handguns as they began to attack the victims. During the attack, both suspects fired their guns in the direction of the victims, who narrowly missed getting struck by gunfire and were robbed of their money. No injuries were reported in the incident.

     During the initial investigation, law enforcement recovered surveillance video that captured the suspects and their vehicle, which can be seen in the above video.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a $10,000 reward to anyone who provides information leading to the arrests and conviction of these suspects.
