South Ozone Park Man Ordered Detained In Killing Of Indian National

TOMS RIVER, NJ.- Today, January 8, 2025, Sandeep Kumar, 34, of South Ozone Park, New York, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and was ordered detained pending trial by Superior Court Judge Wendel E. Daniels for his role in the October 2024 shooting death of Kuldeep Kumar, 35, of India, whose body was found in mid-December 2024, in the Greenwood Wildlife Management Area in Manchester Township, New Jersey.
Kumar was taken into custody on January 3, 2025, and was formally charged with first-degree Murder; and first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder. Kumar has been lodged in the Ocean County Jail since his arrest.
Sandeep’s co-defendants Sourav Kumar, 23, Gaurav Singh, 27, Nirmal Singh, 30, and Gurdeep Singh, 22, all of Greenwood, Indiana, remain in custody in the Johnson County Jail in Franklin, Indiana pending extradition to New Jersey.
