Two Hackensack Men Hospitalized In Tuesday Morning Vehicle Collision

JERSEY CITY, NJ.- The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a two-vehicle crash that occurred early Tuesday morning in Jersey City, New Jersey.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, shortly after 4:00 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to a report of a serious motor vehicle crash on Route 1&9 between Duncan and Communipaw Avenues in Jersey City.
Police Find Two Vehicles With Extensive Damage
Upon arrival, Police Officers and First Responders found two vehicles with extensive damage on the southbound side of Route 1&9. The driver of a black Honda Accord, a 21-year-old Jersey City, New Jersey man, was treated for minor injuries. The second vehicle, a white Honda Accord, was occupied by the driver, a 34-year-old Hackensack, New Jersey man, and a passenger, a 32-year-old Hackensack, New Jersey man, sustained serious injuries in the crash.
Both men were immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where they remain being treated for multiple serious injuries.
The crash remains under active investigation.
