Ocean Grove Man Charged With Child Pornography Offenses

OCEAN GROVE, NJ.- Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago reported, that on Friday, January 10, 2025, a 32-year-old Ocean Grove, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and charged in connection with allegedly possessing and distributing child pornography.
Timothy R. Kanski, 32, of Ocean Grove, was charged with one count of second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; and one count of second-degree Possession of Child Pornography. Kanski was processed on the charges pending future court proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court in Freehold, New Jersey.
Investigation Leads To Charges Being Filed
The charges stem from an investigation that began in October 2024 when members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Bureau’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received information regarding Kanski’s internet activities. During the investigation, Detectives determined that Kanski had utilized the internet to view, download, possess, and distribute more than 1,000 digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of prepubescent and pubescent children.
   At the culmination of the investigation, on Friday, members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Neptune Police Department, and the Monmouth County Search Warrant Entry Team executed a court-authorized search warrant at Kanski’s Ocean Grove residence. During the search, Kanski was taken into custody without incident.
