Man Struck By Gunfire Early Sunday Morning In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning after gunfire erupted in the City of Paterson, leaving a Paterson man suffering from a minor graze wound.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, shortly before 4:30 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the area of Madison Avenue and Ellison Street in the City of Paterson.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located evidence of a shooting crime scene and a 23-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man who had been grazed by a gunshot. The man refused medical treatment at the scene.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time as Detectives continue the search for the suspect and a motive for the shooting.
