Dominican Man Convicted Of Drug Offenses Sentenced For Illegal Reentry

BOSTON, MA.- A 51-year-old Dominican national and drug dealer who has prior convictions for narcotics offenses and has been removed three times from the United States dating back to 2003 was sentenced to over three years in federal prison on Thursday on his fourth conviction of illegal reentry into the United States.
On Thursday, January 16, 2025, Edward Tejeda Pimental, also known as “Miguel Carrillo Rodrigues” and “Angel Matos,” 51, of the Dominican Republic, who was formerly residing in the Boston, Massachusetts, area, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Denise J. Casper to 37 months in federal prison, followed by two years of supervised release.
Tejeda Pimental Will Face Deportaion Upon Completion Of Sentence
Tejeda Pimental will face deportation proceedings upon completion of his federal sentence. In November 2024, Tejeda Pimental appeared in U.S. Federal Court in Boston, Massachusetts, and pleaded guilty to one count of Illegal Reentry into the United States by a Previously Deported Illegal Alien.
According to U.S. Attorney Joshua S. Levy and charging documents filed with the court, Tejeda Pimental was first removed from the United States following a federal conviction for an immigration offense in the Western District of Texas in 2003. Tejeda Pimental was removed for a second time following narcotics convictions in the District of Massachusetts in 2008.
Once again, for a third time, Tejeda Pimental was removed from the United States in 2018 following a drug arrest in New Hampshire. Tejeda Pimental is currently facing an additional narcotics charge in Massachusetts State Court following his 2022 arrest for fentanyl trafficking.
