Man Struck By Gunfire Late Thursday Night In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paterson Police Department are actively searching for the gunman who opened fire late Thursday night in the City of Paterson, leaving a 21-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man hospitalized from a gunshot wound.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, just shortly before 12:00 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Leigh and Dundee Avenue in the City of Paterson.

Police Find Paterson Man Shot

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 21-year-old Paterson, New Jersey man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. During the initial investigation, responding Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time.
