BOSTON, MA.- On Thursday, a 39-year-old Stoughton, Massachusetts man, who was previously convicted and sentenced on Massachusetts state sex trafficking crimes, learned he would be spending over a decade in federal prison after being sentenced in connection with sex trafficking four drug-addicted women by force and coercion.

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, Marvin Pompilus, 39, of Stoughton, Massachusetts, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge William G. Young to 156 months in federal prison, to be immediately followed by five years of supervised release for his previously entered guilty pleas.

Pleaded Guilty October 2024

Pompilus previously appeared in October 2024 in federal court in Boston, Massachusetts, and pleaded guilty to four counts of Conspiracy to Commit Sex Trafficking by Force, Fraud, or Coercion; and one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Controlled Substances, Fentanyl, Cocaine. Pompilus was arrested and charged in November 2023 and indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in January 2024.

According to U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and documents filed with the court, in February 2018, Pompilus was convicted in Suffolk Superior Court on multiple counts of trafficking an individual for sexual servitude and depriving support for prostitution. Following his conviction, Pompilus was sentenced to six years in Massachusetts State Prison and was released in October 2021.

Pompilus Started Recruiting Woman

Following his release from State Prison in October 2021, Pompilus conspired to exploit and recruit multiple women into the commercial sex trade, using a combination of physical and sexual violence, threats, and verbal abuse. Preying on the women’s drug addictions by withholding fentanyl and cocaine from them to coerce and force them into sexual acts. Pompilus would then take all the proceeds from them.

Pompilus required his victims to check in with him, forbade them from interacting with other men, and precluded them from obtaining drugs from anyone other than him. If one of the women attempted to keep any of the money from a sex act or refused to see a Sex John, Pompilus would become physically violent, at times punching the woman in the face and kicking them. Pompilus would also engage in other forms of abuse, such as verbally abusing them, spitting on them, and throwing drinks at them, as well as isolating them from others.

“Marvin Pompilus is a criminal recidivist and vile perpetrator who deserves a significant sentence to protect our community. His prior conviction did nothing to deter further acts of violence on women and continued to push drugs onto our streets,” said United States Attorney Leah B. Foley. “Today’s sentence highlights our ongoing effort to hold accountable those who prey on vulnerable victims and denigrate human dignity.”
