Police Apprehend & Charge 2 In Saturday’s Southwest Armed Assault

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department has arrested and charged two suspects in connection with Saturday’s armed assault that occurred at a Southwest, D.C. home.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to a report of an armed assault at a residence located on the 100 Block of Darrington Street in Southwest, D.C.
   Upon arrival, Police Officers were informed by the victim that two suspects knocked on their door and offered free trash removal. When the victim refused, the suspects produced a firearm and, assaulted the victim, and fled the scene.
Police Find And Apprehend Suspects
During the ensuing investigation, Police Officers quickly located the suspects and arrested the two. They were later identified as Pierre Wilson, 20, of Southeast, D.C., and Zion Douglas, 18, of Southwest, D.C.
Both Wilson and Douglas were charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Douglas and Wilson were processed on the charges and were remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility pending future court proceedings in the District of Columbia Superior Court.
