Rutherford Man Charged With The Repeated Sexual Assaults Of A Child

RUTHERFORD, NJ.- On Monday, a 43-year-old Rutherford, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with repeatedly sexually assaulting a preteen child over the past three years in Rutherford, New Jersey.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, the Rutherford Police Department contacted Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit after the Police Department received a report regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child under the age of thirteen that had occurred in Rutherford, New Jersey, and a joint investigation was launched.

     During the investigation, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Rutherford Police Department interviewed witnesses, including the child victim. As a result of the investigation, Detectives determined that Rolando F. Pincay-Sailema, 43, of Rutherford, sexually assaulted the child repeatedly over the past three years in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Investigation Results In Charges Being Filed

     Accordingly, on Monday, January 27, 2025, Pincay-Sailema was taken into custody in Rutherford and was formally charged with first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; second-degree Sexual Assault; and second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Pincay-Sailema was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
