Police Searching For Suspect In Thursday’s Fatal Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- The Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 55-year-old man, who was gunned down Thursday night in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Thursday, January 30, 2025, shortly after 9:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to reports of gunfire on the 400 Block of N Street in Northwest, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Steven Wilson, 55, of Northeast, D.C., on the ground, unresponsive from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Wilson was immediately transported by D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts by hospital staff, Mr. Wilson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue the search for the suspect and a motive for the shooting.
