York County Man Sentenced For Drug Trafficking

HARRISBURG, PA.- On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, Shontez Andrews, 35, of York County, Pennsylvania, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson to 80 months in federal prison for his conviction of Distribution of Controlled Substances, Crack Cocaine and Cocaine.

     According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and documents filed with the District Court, during an ongoing narcotics investigation into the distribution of controlled substances in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, investigators identified Andrews as a distributor of crack cocaine and powder cocaine.

Andrews Sells Cocaine On Five Occasions

     During the investigation, between June 23, 2021, and March 3, 2022, investigators conducted five controlled purchases of crack cocaine and cocaine powder from Andrews. Following the purchases on March 23, 2022, investigators obtained and executed a court-authorized search warrant at Andrews’ Manchester, Pennsylvania home and on his vehicle. 

     During the search, investigators found and seized additional quantities of crack cocaine and powder cocaine.

     U.S. Attorney Gurganus commended the investigative work of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the York County Drug Task Force, and the Manchester Regional Police Department for the investigation, which led to the successful prosecution of Andrews.
