Carbondale Woman Sentenced For Production Of Child Pornography

SCRANTON, PA.- On Thursday, a 26-year-old Carbondale, Pennsylvania, child predator learned she would be spending nearly the next three decades in federal prison after being sentenced for the horrific sexual abuse of a toddler and then sharing the live abuse over the internet.
On Thursday, January 30, 2025, Mykayliah Hevener, 26, of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, appeared in the District Cort for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Julie K.Munley to 324 months in federal prison for conviction of Production of Child Pornography.
According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office
According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and charging documents filed in the District Court, for an approximately nine-month period in 2023, Hevener engaged in sexual contact with a toddler and used the sexual abuse of the toddler to create digital images and video files of child pornography which were either viewed live or sent over the internet to a co-conspirator, Benjamin Egli, of Iowa.
Elgi is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa, and has entered a guilty plea and is awaiting sentence for his role in the matter.
