BOSTON, MA.- A 28-year-old Amherst, Massachusetts, man and child predator will be facing up to 40 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to federal child pornography offenses for distributing digital images and video files containing the sexual exploitation and abuse of children to an undercover federal agent monitoring online messaging applications.

On Wednesday, February 5, 2025, Bradley Driscoll, 26, of Amherst, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Mark G. Mastroianni to one count of Distribution of Child Pornography; and one count of Possession of Child Pornography. Driscoll was indicted on the charges by a Federal Grand Jury in October 2023.

Driscoll Face Up To 40 Years In Prison

Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Mastroianni accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for May 13, 2025. At that time, Driscoll faces on each count a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 20 years in federal prison, at least five years and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. At sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Driscoll’s prior criminal history, if any.

According To U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley

According to U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley and charging information unsealed in the indictment, during an online child pornography investigation, federal agents uncovered that around August 29, 2022, Driscoll knowingly distributed and possessed child pornography. During the investigation, Driscoll engaged in a Kik online chat conversation with an undercover federal agent, where he expressed an interest in obtaining child pornography.

During the online chat conversation, Driscoll distributed a link to the undercover agent, which contained around 345 digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children, including some as young as one year old, being sexually penetrated by adult men.

In September 2023, Driscoll told federal agents that he was the owner of the Kik messenger username and that he located the link containing the child pornography files through the Kik messenger chat groups. He further acknowledged asking the undercover agent to send him sexual material depicting children. He admitted that the Mega link he shared contained the sexual exploitation and abuse of young children.

U.S. Attorney Foley commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Amherst Police Department for the investigation, which led to Driscoll’s guilty plea.
