Rosenberg Man Sentence For Leading West Virginia Drug Trafficking Network

CLARKSBURG, W.VA.- On Thursday, a 38-year-old Rosenberg, Texas, man learned he would be spending over the next decade and a half in federal prison after being sentenced for being the leader of a multi-state drug trafficking organization that operated out of a Morgantown, West Virginia townhouse.
On Thursday, February 6, 2025, Anthony Allen, 38, of Rosenberg, Texas, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Thomas S. Kleeh to 188 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, for his conviction of Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Substances.
According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard and charging documents filed with the District Court, Allen was identified as the leader of a drug trafficking conspiracy that sold quantities of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin throughout Monongalia County, West Virginia. Allen operated the organization from a townhouse in Morgantown, West Virginia, and a storage unit in Star City, West Virginia.
Allen’s illicit narcotics supply came from California and was shipped via FedEx and the United States Postal Service. During the drug trafficking operations, a total of 66 pounds of methamphetamine were shipped. During the investigation, investigators seized packages sent from California to Houston, Texas, that contained cocaine and fentanyl.
