Bridgeport Man Sentenced For Federal Firearms Offense

NEW HAVEN, CT.- On Monday, a 33-year-old Bridgeport, Connecticut man learned he would be spending an additional 40 months in federal prison after being sentenced for possessing a firearm by a previously convicted felon.
On Monday, February 10, 2025, Quinten McKoy, also known as “Quack,” 33, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Victor A. Bolden to 40 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release for his previously entered guilty plea of being a Prohibited Person in Possession in Possession of a Firearm, Convicted Felon.
During Monday’s sentencing hearing, Judge Bolden ordered McKoy’s federal prison sentence to be served consecutive to his current Connecticut State Prison term on unrelated charges. McKoy has been in custody since his initial arrest in October 2022. On September 12, 2024, McKoy appeared in federal court in New Haven, Connecticut, and pleaded guilty to the federal firearms offense.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Marc H. Silverman and charging documents filed with the District Court, following a series of shootings and homicides in Bridgeport and Stratford, Connecticut, the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Safe Streets Task Force launched an investigation into McKoy and others who were associated with gang activities in the Southend of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
On October 7, 2022, federal agents obtained and executed a court-authorized search warrant at McKoy’s Logan Street residence in Bridgeport. During the search, federal agents located and seized a stolen Glock .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun, four ammunition magazines, including a high-capacity magazine loaded with 25 rounds of ammunition, a laser attachment, and additional ammunition. Agents also located multiple packages of crack cocaine, cocaine, heroin, and quantities of marijuana. During the execution of the search warrant, McKoy was taken into custody.
