Police Seek Public’s Help In Locating Suspects In Sunday’s Shoplifting, Stabbing

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two suspects wanted in connection with a stabbing assault that occurred Sunday afternoon during a shoplifting incident at a store in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, February 9, 2025, shortly before 5:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District responded to a report of an assault at a store located on the 6200 Block of Georgia Avenue in Northeast, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers were informed by employees that an employee had confronted a man for shoplifting, which resulted in the suspect stabbing the employee with a knife. Following the stabbing, a second suspect threatened the employee while brandishing a handgun and then fled the scene. The injured employee was transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital for treatment.
