D.C. Cousins Found Guilty Of 2021 Mayfair Mansions Murder

WASHINGTON, DC.- Last Monday, February 10, 2025, a District of Columbia Superior Court jury found Deangelo Glover, 33, and Ronnie Wallace, 48, both of Washington, D.C., guilty of murder, assault, and weapons-related charges in connection with the January 2021, retaliation shooting death of Tyron Wright in Northeast, D.C.
The jury found Wallace guilty of first-degree Murder While Armed and Possession of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence for Mr. Wright’s murder. Wallace was additionally found guilty of Assault with Intent to Kill While Armed for shooting a second victim, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Carrying a Handgun Without a License.
Glover was found guilty of second-degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm During a Crime of Violence, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Carrying a Handgun Without a License.
Following the jury returning their findings of guilt on Monday, District of Columbia Superior Court Judge Jason Park accepted the verdict and scheduled sentencing for May 2, 2025. At that time, Wallace and Glover face substantial prison terms.
According to U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin and D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith and evidence presented at trial, on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in a parking lot in front of 3804 Hayes Street in Northeast, D.C. and within the Mayfair Mansions Apartment complex, Ronnie Wallace in an apparent target shooting, shot Tyron Wright on the belief that Mr. Wright was one of the individuals responsible for his brother Marcus Wright’s murder.
   During the shooting, a bystander was shot a single time in the leg. Within moments of the initial shots being fired by Wallace, his cousin, and co-defendant, Deangelo Glover, ran out of an adjacent building and shot Mr. Wright repeated times, ending his life.
