Woman Nearly Killed After Being Shot In Face With Crossbow In Saddle Brook

SADDLE BROOK, NJ.- Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Saddlebrook Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attempted murder of a woman that occurred late yesterday afternoon at a Saddle Brook, New Jersey business.

     According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Monday, February 17, 2025, shortly before 6:00 p.m., members of the Saddle Brook Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a woman seriously injured at her place of employment, a business located on Route 46 East in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a woman seriously injured after being shot in the face by a crossbow by a suspect who fled the scene. The woman was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains and is listed in stable condition. Although Police have not confirmed the business where the incident occurred, it has been reported that the woman was shot inside Birds By Joe 2, an exotic bird store located in a strip mall on Route 46 in Saddle Brook.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information may become available once it is released by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
