Ridgewood Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

RIDGEWOOD, NJ.- A 43-year-old Ridgewood, New Jersey, man and a convicted felon currently being detained in the Bergen County Jail after being charged early last month for allegedly promoting prostitution and a weapons offense was additionally charged last Thursday with possessing over 200,000 digital images and video files of child pornography.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Friday, January 31, 2025, the Ridgewood Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit regarding alleged images of child pornography, and an investigation was launched.

Investigators Uncover Over 200,000 Images Of Child Pornography
During an investigation, Detectives of the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Unit and the Ridgewood Police Department uncovered that Antonio Gines, 43, possessed over 200,000 digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of prepubescent and pubescent children on multiple electronic devices.
Following the investigation, on Thursday, February 13, 2025, Gines was formally charged with one count of first-degree Possession of Child Pornography. Gines was served and processed on the charge at the Bergen County Jail, where he is currently being detained, pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
