Police Searching For Suspect In Early Saturday Morning Shooting

PASSAIC, NJ.- Police are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding an early Saturday morning shooting in the City of Passaic, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, shortly after 3:15 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Sherman Street and Main Avenue in the City of Passaic.
Police Find Evidence Of A Shooting
Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene but were able to locate a victim or victims. During an initial canvass of the surrounding area and following checking with area hospitals, Police Officers and Detectives determined that no one was struck by gunfire in the shooting.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as authorities continue the search for the gunman.
