MANHATTAN, NY.- On Friday, in what many in the legal profession might say, was somewhat of an unusual move. U.S. District Court Judge Dale Ho removed New York City Mayor Eric Adams’s federal corruption case from the court’s calendar.
Judge Ho has also appointed attorney Paul Clement to argue against the U.S. Department of Justice as to why the case should not be dismissed. Basically in an attempt to circumvent the prosecutorial discretion regarding whether to proceed or dismiss a case that might have been filed egregiously or for what many would believe was politically motivated against Mayor Adams.
