Monday, February 24, 2025, 3:00 A.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

PRINCETON, NJ.- On Friday, following an internet child pornography investigation, a 24-year-old Princeton Borough, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and charged with distributing and possessing digital images depicting the sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children.

According to Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, Oliver Diaz Pulex, 24, of Princeton Borough, was formally charged with one count of second-degree Distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material; and one count of third-degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

According To The Criminal Complaint

According to the charging information filed in the complaint alleges that Pulex utilized the Internet or a social media application to distribute an image depicting a child in a sexually explicit manner.

The charges stem from an investigation that began when Detectives of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Unit received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting that an individual in the Mercer County, New Jersey area had utilized the internet to upload a file containing alleged child sexual abuse material.

An investigation was launched, and during the investigation, Detectives were able to identify an IP address associated with a Princeton Borough residence and identified Pulex as the individual utilizing the internet to share the digital file containing the alleged child pornography.

On the morning of Friday, February 21, 2025, federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies executed a court-authorized search warrant at Pulex’s home on Witherspoon Street in Princeton Borough. During the search, Detectives seized electronic devices and other items of evidentiary value. Pulex was then taken into custody.

After being taken into custody, Pulex was transported to the Mercer County Correction Center, where he was processed on the charges. On Friday afternoon, after making his initial court appearance, a Mercer County Superior Court Judge released Pulex on bail monitoring conditions pending future court proceedings.

If convicted at trial, Pulex faces up to ten years in New Jersey State Prison, parole supervision for life, and will be subject to Megan’s Law restraints.

The investigation remains active. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit at (609) 989-6568 or mcposvu@mercercounty.org. All calls and emails will be kept confidential.
