Police Searching For Suspect In Saturday Union City Hit & Run

UNION CITY, NJ.- Detectives of the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit are continuing the investigation into Saturday night’s pedestrian hit-and-run collision that left a 32-year-old Union City woman hospitalized in critical condition.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, just shortly after 9:00 p.m., members of the Union City Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a motor vehicle on 17th Street near the intersection of Bergenline Avenue in Union City.
Police Officers Find Woman Severely Injured
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 32-year-old Union City woman in the roadway suffering from multiple serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. The woman was immediately transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where she remains and has been listed in critical condition.
During the initial investigation, Detectives were able to recover the vehicle involved with striking the woman. As of Monday evening, February 24, 2025, no arrests have been made or charges filed.
