Police Seeking Public’s Help In Locating Suspect For Sunday’s Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Northwest, D.C., that left two men hospitalized from gunshot wounds.
According to the D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, February 23, 2025, shortly after 2:30 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Second District responded to a report of gunfire on the 1300 Block of Connecticut Avenue in Northwest, D.C.
Police Find Man Shot Multiple Times
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The man was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital for treatment. While on the scene, Police Officers were notified that a second shooting victim, an adult male, had arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
During the initial investigation, responding Police Officers determined that both men were struck by gunfire on the 1600 Block of Connecticut Avenue in Northwest, D.C.
Detectives were able to recover a picture of the gunman from an area video surveillance camera, which can be seen above.
