LODI, NJ.- On Wednesday, following an investigation into the alleged past sexual assaults of a juvenile, a 43-year-old Lodi, New Jersey, man was taken into and jailed after being charged with multiple child sex crimes.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, members of the Lodi Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims after they received a report regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child that had occurred back in 2020 and 2021.

Investigation Uncovers Past Sexual Assaults

During a swift-moving investigation by Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Lodi Police Department and following interviewing witnesses, including the victim, Detectives determined that Ison Reid, also known as Otis Reid, 43, of Lodi, sexually assaulted and endangered a juvenile in Lodi, New Jersey, on multiple occasions between 2020 through 2021.

Accordingly, on Wednesday, Reid was taken into custody at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and was formally charged with first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Reid was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
