Honduran Man Sentenced To Illegal Reentry Into The United States

HARRISBURG, PA.- On Friday, February 28, 2025, Josue Ramon Ayala-Najarro, 31, a Honduran national residing illegally in Adams County, Pennsylvania, appeared in the U.S. District for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Julia K. Munley to 48 months and nineteen days in federal prison for his previously entered guilty plea to Illegal Reentry into the United States by a Previously Deported Alien.

     Upon completion of his federal term of imprisonment, Ayala-Najarro will face immediate deportation proceedings and will be removed from the United States.

According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office

     According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and documents filed with the District Court, Ayala-Najarro was encountered in the United States after being taken into custody and criminal charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in Adams County, Pennsylvania, on March 1, 2024. Ayala-Najarro had previously been removed from the United States in 2012.

     Acting U.S. Attorney Gurganus commended the investigative work of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement Removal Operations, which led to the apprehension and prosecution of Ayala-Najarro.
