EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ.- Yesterday, Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds reported a 24-year-old Galloway Township, New Jersey, man learned he would be nearly 60 years old when he is finally released from New Jersey State Prison after being sentenced for sexually assaulting a young girl repeatedly over seven years beginning when the girl was just five years old.
On Wednesday, March 5, 2025, a 24-year-old Galloway Township man, whose identity is not being released to protect the identity of the child, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and was sentenced to 35 years in State Prison after being convicted on July 12, 2024, on the charges of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; second-degree Sexual Assault; third-degree Providing Obscene Material to a Child; and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
In handing down the sentence on Wednesday, an Atlantic County Superior Court Judge ordered that the sentence be subject both to the Jessica Lundsford Act and the No Early Release Act, which will require the Galloway Township man to serve over 29 years of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole. The defendant will be subject to parole supervision for life and will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law requirements.
Evidence Presented At Trial
The young girl, who is now sixteen, testified at trial that the defendant sexually assaulted her in the family home beginning when she was five years old and lasting until she was twelve years old. She came forward and reported the abuse to authorities when she was fourteen years old.

The case was investigated by Detectives of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department, which obtained a confession from the man.
