Police Searching For Suspect In Northeast D.C.

Police Asking For Public’s Help In Locating Suspect In Tuesday Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred on Tuesday in Northeast, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, shortly after 1:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District responded to reports of a shooting on the 2300 Block of Washington Place in Northeast, D.C.

Police Find Man Shot Multiple Times

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

     During the initial investigation, Police Officers recovered area video surveillance that captured a picture of the suspect, which can be seen above.
