Police Charge On Thursday Woman For January Northeast D.C. Stabbing

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Thursday, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department charged a 31-year-old Southeast, D.C. woman in connection with a stabbing that occurred on January 22, 2025, in Northeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, just minutes after 6:00 p.m., while in the 400 Block of Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast, D.C., the victim and Antoinette Anderson, 31, of Southeast, D.C. engaged in a verbal altercation.
Anderson Pulled Out Knife And Stabbed Victim
During the altercation, Anderson pulled out a knife, stabbed the victim, and then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
Following an investigation, Detectives were able to identify Anderson as the assailant. Accordingly, following the investigation, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, Anderson was located and taken into custody and formally charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
Anderson was processed on the charge and was remanded to the D.C. Correctional Treatment Facility, pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
