Hackensack Man With Aggravated Sexual Assault

HACKENSACK, NJ.- On Friday, March 7, 2025, a 33-year-old Hackensack, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a woman that occurred in December 2023 in Hackensack, New Jersey.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Sunday, December 17, 2023, medical staff at Hackensack University Hospital contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Hackensack Police Department after a patient arrived at the hospital seeking medical care after an alleged sexual assault. A joint investigation was launched by Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit in conjunction with the Hackensack Police Department.
Detectives Identify Sibri As The Suspect
Following months of exhaustive investigation, Detectives found probable cause to believe and determine that Carlos L. Sibri, 33, Hackensack, New Jersey, sexually assaulted the victim in Hackensack, New Jersey, between December 16, 2023, and December 17, 2023, in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Accordingly, on Friday, Sibri was taken into custody at the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office in Paramus, New Jersey, and formally charged with first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; and first-degree Attempted Aggravated Sexual Assault.
Sibri was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
