D.C. Metropolitan Police Charge Man In September 2024 Shooting Death

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Sunday, March 9, 2025, a 36-year-old Washington, D.C., man was taken into custody and charged in connection with the shooting death of a 20-year-old man that occurred on September 11, 2024, in Southeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, shortly after 10:00 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Southeast District responded to a report of a shooting on the 3700 Block of Alabama Avenue in Southeast, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Korey Glasker, 20, of Southeast, D.C., unresponsive inside a residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Glasker was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives Identify Suspect
During the ensuing investigation by the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch, Detectives were able to identify Korin Agnew, 36, of Washington D.C., as the shooter and the individual responsible for the death of Mr. Glasker. Following the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Sunday, during a traffic stop, Agnew was taken into custody pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant and formally charged with first-degree Murder While Armed. Agnew was processed on the charge and was remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility, pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
