SCRANTON, PA.- A 19-year-old Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania, man and convicted child predator will be spending the next two decades in federal prison after being sentenced last Thursday for producing digital images and video files of child pornography involving two young children he was babysitting.

On Thursday, March 13, 2025, Ignacia Salcido-Lopez, 19, of Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Malachy E. Mannion to 240 months in federal prison for his previously entered guilty plea to Production of Child Pornography.

According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office

According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and charging documents filed with the District Court, beginning in December 2023 and lasting through January 14, 2024, Salcido-Lopez produced hundreds of digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of two children that were in his care, ages three and seven.

Salcido-Lopez then utilized the internet to upload and share the digital images and video files with others.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and sexual abuse.
