Atlantic City Man Sentenced For Raping Woman In Lobby Of Bus Terminal

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ.- A 56-year-old Atlantic City man will be spending over a decade in State Prison after he was sentenced on Wednesday for sexually assaulting a woman while she slept in the lobby of the Atlantic City Bus Terminal in May of 2022.
According to Atlantic County Prosecutor William E. Reynolds, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Eric Williams, 56, of Atlantic City, New Jersey, appeared in Atlantic County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Pamela D’Arcy to 12 years in New Jersey State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, which would require Williams to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole. Williams previously pleaded guilty to first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault.
In addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge D.Arcy ordered Williams, upon release from prison, to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law. Williams will be subject to parole supervision for life.
   According to the court documents, on May 19, 2022, Williams committed a sexual assault on a woman in the Lobby of the Atlantic City Bus terminal. Williams penetrated the woman with both his fingers and penis. The woman was asleep when Williams committed the sexual assault.Â
Williams Was Captured On Video Footage Raping The Woman
However, the sexual assault was captured on the terminal’s video surveillance cameras, which led to Williams being arrested and charged with the crime.
Prosecutor Reynolds commended the investigative work of the New Jersey Transit Police, the Atlantic City Police Department, and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office for the investigation, which led to Williams’ arrest and prosecution.
