Fairview Man Charged With Multiple Child Pornography Offenses

FAIRVIEW, NJ.- On Wednesday, following an investigation, an 18-year-old Fairview, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the distribution and possession of child pornography.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit identified Brayan Escobar, 18, of Fairview, New Jersey, during an Internet child pornography investigation.
Investigation Leads To Charges Being Filed
During a swift-moving investigation, Detectives determined that Escobar utilized the internet to view, download, possess, and distribute digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of prepubescent and pubescent children.
Accordingly, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Escobar was taken into custody by Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office with the assistance of the Fairview Police Department in Fairview. Escobar was formally charged with one count of second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography; and one count of third-degree Possession of Child Pornography.
Escobar was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
If convicted at trial, Escobar faces up to ten years in New Jersey State Prison, parole supervision for life, and would be required to register as a sex offender pursuant to Megan’s Law restraints.
