Police Searching For Suspects In Friday Night Mass Shooting In New Mexico Park

LAS CRUCES, NM.- Las Cruces Police officials confirmed that three people were killed and fourteen others injured when gunfire erupted Friday night at Young Park in Las Cruces, New Mexico, during a monthly car show where car enthusiasts gather and show off their modified motor vehicles.
Las Cruces Police reported that gunfire rang out shortly around 10:00 p.m. Young Park, which is located around two hundred miles south of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Police have only identified the three victims as a 16-year-old boy and two 19-year-old men.
Police further reported that the injured victims range in age from 16 years old to 36 years old and said the identities of the victims are not being released at this time.
Local, state, and federal law enforcement have not released any information regarding the circumstances surrounding what led up to the shooting. At this time, no arrests have been made but are urging anyone with video footage or information to please come forward.
Currently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the New Mexico State Police, and the Dona Ana County Sheriff’s Office are assisting the Las Cruces Police Department with the investigation.
