Saturday, March 22, 2025, 11:00 A.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Jennifer Hodges: Englebrook Independent News,

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ.- On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, a 26-year-old Greenbrook, New Jersey, woman was jailed after surrendering herself to Detectives of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office and charged in connection with a road rage incident that occurred during the evening hours of February 2, 2025, in North Plainfield, New Jersey.

According to Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Detectives formally charged Juliette A. Piscopo, 26, of Greenbrook, with one count of first-degree Attempted Murder; second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Piscopo was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Somerset County Jail, pending future court proceedings in Somerset County Superior Court.

The charges stem from an investigation that began on February 2, 2025, when shortly after 9:00 p.m., Police Officers from the North Plainfield Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a vehicle being struck by gunfire during an apparent road rage incident.

Police Officers Learn That Piscopo Opened Fire

Upon arrival, Police Officers were informed by the victim, a North Plainfield, New Jersey resident, who reported that shortly around 8:45 p.m., while driving eastbound on North Avenue near the intersection of Madison Avenue in Dunellen, a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz attempted to merge into the victim’s lane of travel and then passed the victim and another motor vehicle on the right shoulder of the roadway.

The Mercedes-Benz then got behind the victim’s vehicle and began following it for about fifteen minutes into North Plainfield. While traveling west of Route 22 in North Plainfield, the Mercedes-Benz pulled alongside the victim’s vehicle and opened fire, shattering the victim’s driver’s side window, the front passenger side window, perforating the gas cap on the driver’s side, and shattering the rear passenger side window before fleeing the scene.

During the ensuing investigation by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit, along with the North Plainfield Police Department, Detectives were able to identify Piscopo as the driver of the Mercedes-Benz, which led to the charges being filed and Piscopo surrendering herself to Detectives.
