Hudson County Homicide Unit Investigating The Death Of A Man

HOBOKEN, NJ.- Today, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez confirmed that the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose lifeless body was recovered from the Hudson River on Sunday, March 23, 2025.
On Sunday, March 23, 2025, at around 2:15 p.m., members of the Hoboken Police Department responded to a report that the body of a male had been discovered in the Hudson River near Pier C. Park. Upon arrival, Responding Police Officers located the remains of an adult man. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police Officers notified Detectives of the Hudson County Homicide Unit, and a joint investigation was launched.
Identification Pending Medical Examiner’s Report
At this time, the identity of the man has not yet been confirmed by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. An autopsy has been scheduled for later this week, which will hopefully lead to the identification, as well as the Cause and Manner of Death.
