D.C. Metropolitan Police Charge Couple In Monday’s Strongarm Robbery

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Monday, March 24, 2024, a 51-year-old Northwest, D.C., man and a 41-year-old Northwest, D.C., woman were taken into custody and charged in connection with the strongarm robbery of a man in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, March 24, 2024, a man reported to Police Officers while walking in the 3700 Block of 14th Street in Northwest, D.C. he was approached by two suspects, a man, and a woman. The couple assaulted him and stole his cell phone and wallet, and the two then fled the area.
Victims Provide Police With Description Of Suspects
Based on the description provided, Police Officers were able to locate the suspects a short distance from the scene of the robbery.
Accordingly, Police Officers arrested and charged Toby Wood, 51, and Annette Hawkins, 41, both of Northwest, D.C., with Robbery by Force and Violence.
