Houtzdale Man Sentenced For Attempting To Entice A Child For Sex

WILLIAMSPORT, PA.- On Wednesday, a 67-year-old Houtzdale, Pennsylvania, man and convicted child predator learned he will be spending the next decade in federal prison after being sentenced for attempting to entice a 13-year-old child to meet so he could pay the child to engage in sexual acts with him.
On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Walter Sitosky, 67, of Houtzdale, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Matthew W. Brann to 120 months in federal prison, to be followed by five years after pleading guilty to Attempted Enticement of a Child.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and charging documents filed with the District Court, Sitosky arranged to meet and pay for sexual services with a 13-year-old child. Sitosky was taken into custody and charged as part of an undercover sting after traveling to an establishment in Centre County, Pennsylvania, to meet with the child.
Acting U.S. Attorney Gurganus commended the investigative work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Patton Township Police Department, the Centre County District Attorney’s Office, the Williamsport Police Department, and the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office for their investigation which led to the successful prosecution of Sitosky.
