According to Acting U.S. Attorney John C. Gurganus and charging information unsealed in the indictment, it is alleged that around November 13, 2024, Martinez-Canjay was found illegally in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, after having previously been removed from the United States.
The indictment further alleges that Martinez-Canjay had been removed from the U.S. on or about April 24, 2019, through Hidalgo, Texas, and then reentered the United States without obtaining permission or legal authorization to do so.
Acting U.S. Attorney Gurganus commended the investigative work of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Enforcement Removal Operations.
