LaTorre, 25, of Paterson, New Jersey, guilty of one count of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child in connection with a child pornography investigation.

On April 4, 2023, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an individual in the Passaic County, New Jersey area was utilizing the internet to view, upload, and possess video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children to a Google account.

Identify LaTorre As The Suspect

During a swift-moving investigation, Detectives quickly identified LaTorre as the owner of the Google account and that he had uploaded 15 video files of child pornography between June 22, 2022, and July 18, 2022. During further investigation, Detectives uncovered an additional 18 video files depicting the sexual exploitation and sexual abuse of children associated with LaTorre’s Google account.

On April 4, 2023, following identifying LaTorre and identifying his address, Detectives of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office arrested LaTorre at his Paterson, New Jersey residence without incident.

Following the jury returning their finding of guilt on Wednesday, Superior Court Judge Barbara J. Buono Stanton, who presided over the trial that began on March 13, 2025, accepted the guilty verdict and scheduled sentencing for May 9, 2025. At that time, LaTorre faces a mandatory minimum of five years and up to 10 years in New Jersey State Prison and will be subject to parole supervision for life and will be required, upon release from prison, to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law requirements.
