Police Charge Woman in Sunday Morning Northwest Stabbing

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 28-year-old Waldorf, Maryland, woman has been charged in connection with the Sunday morning stabbing of a woman that occurred in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, March 30, 2025, shortly after 6:00 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting a stabbing on the 2000 Block of 14th Street in Northwest, D.C.
Police Find Woman Stabbed Multiple Times
Upon arrival, Police Officers and First Responders located a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds. The woman was immediately transported by D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital for treatment.
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives later identified and arrested Dayonna Davis, 28, of Waldorf, Maryland, and charged her with one count of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. Davis was processed on the charge and was remanded to the DC Correctional Treatment Facility, pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
