U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has directed prosecutors to seek the death penalty against Luigi Mangione, charged in the execution-style shooting death of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. Mangione was charged, both in Federal and State Court, for fatally shooting Brian Thompson in the back as he walked along a New York City Street.

U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) took to the Senate floor in what many would say was a marathon filibuster. In fact, it was a 25-hour and five-minute speech, at times rambling and redundant, criticizing President Trump’s policies. During his speech, Booker failed to offer one solution to his criticisms of Trump’s policies. Yesterday’s speech revealed that Booker might be auditioning to become the next leader of the Democratic Party.

Today, President Trump will unveil his tariff plan in his first Rose Garden press conference since taking office in his second Presidential term.

President Trump will hold a meeting with possible investors to buy TikTok in hopes of avoiding a potential ban.

On Tuesday, Speaker Mike Johnson abruptly halted all work in the House of Representatives after suffering a defeat in his push to block remote voting in Congress for new parents.
