According to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. During the ensuing investigation, Detectives of the Cape May County Special Victims Unit, the Wildwood Police Department, and the Cape May City Police Department, with assistance from the Department of Homeland Security Investigations, determined that Angeles-Ayala committed sexual crimes against a child.
Law Enforcement Executes Search Warrant And Arrests Angeles-Ayala
Later in the day, Detectives obtained and executed a court-authorized search warrant at Angeles-Ayala’s Wildwood, New Jersey, home. During the search, Detectives and Federal Agents seized multiple cellular phones and electronic devices, and Angeles-Ayala was taken into custody.
Accordingly, as a result of the investigation, Angeles-Ayala was formally charged with two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Angeles-Ayala was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Cape May County Correctional Center, pending future court proceedings in Cape May County Superior Court. Additional charges may be filed after a forensic examination of Angeles-Ayala’s electronic devices is completed.
If convicted at trial, Angeles-Ayala faces up to 20 years in New Jersey State Prison, parole supervision for life, and upon release from prison upon a finding of guilt, would be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law restraints.
Prosecutor Sutherland emphasized the unwavering commitment of law enforcement to protecting the most vulnerable members of the community, stating, “This case serves as a stark reminder of our steadfast dedication to safeguarding children. Allegations of child abuse are treated with the highest level of seriousness, and we will relentlessly pursue justice, ensuring that those responsible for such acts are held fully accountable under the law.”

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
